The Brief

  • Location was Shanghai
  • 40 guests
  • 5* single occupancy accommodation
  • Arrange a visit to the factory where the camera was manufactured
  • Come up with an interesting way to take photographs ‘On the Move’

The Solution

While Shanghai was already predetermined as the destination, the brief required us to arrange activities and find bright and colourful locations where guests were able to take unique shots to showcase the camera’s capabilities whilst also taking in the city sights along the way.  Guests stayed at the stunning Waldorf Astoria Shanghai located in the Bund.

The visit to the factory gave all the attendees a chance to see the camera in the making and ask questions about its design and manufacturing.

Highlights & Challenges

  • For the ‘Photography on The Move’ twenty motorbikes with side cars were lined up outside the hotel to transport guests tot he French Concession visiting Xin Tian Di, Tian Zi Fang and Fuxing Park.  A great way to see part of the city
  • A private dinner cruise up the River Bund so the team could see the famous bright lights and neon signs
  • Obtaining permission for guests to visit the factory where the camera was manufactured

Feedback

“I hope you are not too jet lagged from last week?! I would just like to say thank you very much for all your work last week.

The organisation you must have done to make the trip run as smooth as Chinese silk must of been huge. Your choice of restaurants, events and particularly the hotel were first class.”
